Hey,

The developer preview of iOS 10.1 is out. Would anyone who is experiencing this issue be willing to install the developer beta and see if the issue still shows up? Let me know, I can give you a link

Hey everybody,

Thanks for all the feedback; great research on this stuff. The more info we have, the easier it will be to convince the relevant parties to fix the problem.

Apple has a bug report system, and we'll definitely want to file reports there. I will absolutely get in touch with every contact I have at these controller companies to try to get firmware updates.

Hey everybody,

I haven't experienced any of these issues on the beta firmware versions, on any of my primary devices (iPhone 6S, iPad Pro 12.9). I also haven't experienced the issue on the release build of iOS 10, on the iPhone 7+, 6S, or iPad.

I'll dig up some older devices, test with every controller, and try to find a way to reliably reproduce the issue you're all talking about. I'll also link to this discussion on the front page, hopefully get some attention directed at the problem, and maybe even find a fix!

Hello,
i really find hard to use your page, i using ofter all games list, but its year after 1980 so we need some sorting and best sorting except abc, would be byt app release date and appstore user rating - result would be clear best iOS games with Controller support, but by some youtube geek, but real based on zillion users reviews..

Better sorting will be coming, though you can browse top games and popular sections from the main page:

I'm hesitant about integrating iTunes ratings in any significant way. I don't consider them a fair representation of a game's quality. I have plans for other metrics for quality sorting, but everything takes work, and I'm doing all of this for free ????

Yeah, Titan Quest is practically begging for MFi support. Would be great to see someday

You would be able to make it work for jailbroken users - the 8bitdo controller has an MFi driver you can install if you jailbreak - but normal customers would be out of luck. Nobody has been able to work around Apple's MFi requirements yet.

As soon as I know, I will! If all goes as planned, I will on the 16th 😉

A Borderlands-style shooter would be a killer fit for the Apple TV, definitely! I doubt there's enough power in this Apple TV to run any of the Borderlands games in split-screen, but maybe someday

I didn't know about these, thanks! 😊

The best overall controller is probably the Nimbus:

It change used with an aftermarket iPhone grip, too:

That's really strange, I don't know what else to suggest. Can you still return it and exchange it for a replacement?

#28 Re: MFi Controllers » CTRLi controller connects to phone but not game » Jul 03 12:17 PM

That's really weird... Have you tried deleting it from your Bluetooth devices list, holding the pair button, and re-pairing it?

#29 Re: MFi Controllers » CTRLi controller connects to phone but not game » Jul 02 7:54 PM

Hmm, that's odd. Make sure the battery is good - if it isn't fully charged, it might not work.

Are you sure you're using the CTRLi, not the CTRLr? The android version won't work.

To the best of my knowledge, any app you purchase will be available to redownload, as long as it's developer is still paying to be a part of the Apple Developer Program. If they stop paying, their apps are pulled, and you can't redownload them.
