Possible Apple TV Games

Will it ever be possible to have games like Everybody has gone to the Rapture or Dear Esther on the Apple TV instead of just side-scrolling type games? Or is that beyond the capabilities of the Apple TV?

Hey,

Those would definitely be possible, yeah. The Apple TV is a surprisingly high-performance device, comparable to the Xbox 360 or PS3.

The issue is input methods. Games have to be designed to work with the Siri Remote in addition to MFi controllers. Side-scrollers tend to lend themselves well to this sort of input, whereas 3D games would be a little more difficult. It'll happen, but developers will need some more time to figure out the best ways of doing it.
