I’ve been learning about crocodilians lately and wanted to share a few fun things! A crocodilian is a kind of big reptile that lives in water. These animals have long bodies, strong tails, and lots of sharp teeth.

There’s more than one type of crocodilian. The main ones are:

Crocodiles

Alligators

Caimans

Gharials

They all look kind of the same, but they are a bit different. For example, alligators have a wide, round snout, while crocodiles have a longer, thinner one. Gharials have really long, skinny snouts and eat mostly fish.
