Weird one,
You can configure the MFi Controller for this game in the control setup, but all the input symbols are wrong. ie pressing the "A button" shows "L1" Left Shoulder D-Pad up shows "A Button" etc..It gets confusing very quickly..All are messed up, you can sort of get the controller working but obviously its not correct.
Emailed Devs explaining this, hopefully it will get sorted.
Yeah, that type of thing comes up from time to time. I tend to count it as being supported, but not recommended.
I haven't added it to MFi4GamerZ list just yet until i get a response from the Devs as to whether they will fix it or not, in it's current state it's terrible.
Just got a reply from the Sproggiwood Dev's

Hi, I noticed on iOS (iPad/iPhone) Sproggiwood kinda supports external MFi Game controllers, such as Madcatz C.T.R.L.i or MOGA Rebel.
However the inputs are all messed up when you come to configure the controls, all the inputs show different icons..like pressing the A,B,X,Y buttons they show up as D-Pad Direction icons?? or L1 or R1 shoulder button icons??, it all gets very very confusing very quickly.. also the A,B,X,Y buttons are all the wrong colors..it seems the iOS Build is a setup for an Android controller...Is there an update in the works to fix this as i believe it will play great with an MFi controller. (MFi Controllers are the "official" Apple standard)

Yeah, I just never tried one prior to release, it wasn't a launch target; but I've got one coming in the mail. I'd like to add iOS keyboard + MFi controller support in 1.3
I do track metadata about how well apps are supported behind-the-scenes in the database, but I haven't yet incorporated that into the list that I display publicly. I figure I might as well post the app to the overall list anyways if it works, and add it to the editors choice list or write a review if it's great.
And that's good news, it sounds like he'll be adding support officially soon! 😊

Understand Kev, my point is in it's current state it doesn't work fully which makes it annoying & unplayable with a game controller...as it is a paid game & a higher priced one at that ($9.99)..i certainly wouldn't recommend it to MFi Gamers just yet.
If it was Free then yeah no problem.

Yeah, good point, I think I'll pull it for now. Better safe than sorry when it comes to paid games.

Yeah think so also, i feel we have a responsibility to uphold 😉
Anyway let's wait for the update, BTW i offered our services for testing controller support to the Sproggiwood Dev, let you know if he take us up on the offer.
Agreed, especially for paid games. I test everything on the list within a day of adding it, but I've been out all day today and hadn't had a chance to test that one 😜
I'll be happy to help him test it if he wants, definitely. I'm always willing to help out the controller support cause like that 😊
