Hello everyone,

I’m looking for some clarity on the current fees for renewing a Qatar ID. I’ve heard that the costs may have changed recently, and I want to make sure I’m prepared when it's time for my renewal. Could someone provide an update on the following:

What is the exact fee for renewing a Qatar ID?

Are there any additional charges I should be aware of?

How long does it usually take for the renewal process to be completed?

The fee for renewing a Qatar ID depends on the sponsorship type. For individuals, the fee is QAR 300 per year. If you're under family sponsorship, it's QAR 500 per year, and for company sponsorship, it costs QAR 1,000 per year. In case of late renewal, a QAR 10 daily penalty applies. If you choose Qatar Post for delivery, an additional QAR 20 fee is charged. The renewal process can be completed instantly online, and if you opt for delivery, it takes 3-5 working days to receive the new ID. You can also collect it in person at any MOI service center.
